Enlivening Caregivers

Our Vision

To care for people who give their lives to care for others.

Our Mission

To create communities that values and supports caregivers of people living with chronic kidney disease.

Who We Are

Enlivening Caregivers (EnCa) is a HMC community program that provides support services for family caregivers of people living with chronic kidney disease. EnCa promotes the emotional and social well being of caregivers and organises events and activities that help to relieve their anxiety and sense of isolation.

EnCa endeavours to:
Care ... by providing comfort and compassion to family caregivers through home and family based practical assistance.

Connect ... by promoting camaraderie and social connectedness, organising social events and developing support systems.

Enrich ... by uplifting the lives of family caregivers through creative and fun in-hospital activities.

What We Do

Every fortnight, EnCa runs workshops and activities at the Children's Hospital at Westmead that provide relief for parents and other family caregivers when they bring their child to the hospital for treatment. We are currently looking into expanding our program to more Sydney hospitals.

We also organise appreciation events during Carers' Week and at various other times throughout the year to demonstrate our support and gratitude for caregivers who selflessly give their lives to care for another.
